The works included the strip out of existing DX systems and the installation of a new chilled water CRAC unit cooling system to serve 2 live customer rooms.

As the customer rooms were to remain live, the works had to be sequenced. We ensured the cooling requirements for the rooms were maintained, the DX units were taken offline and replaced with the chilled water CRAC units and made fully functional and tested.

The works involved installing a fully co-ordinated ring main located in the floor and ceiling voids. Upon completion of the ring main, the existing DX units were decommissioned and isolated. We also isolated the existing VESDA system to be removed and positioned the new CRAC unit. The ring main was then branched to serve each individual CRAC unit and the electrical power supplies were connected.

Construction works included Asbestos surveys, raised access floor modifications, suspended ceiling modifications, BWIC through walls and associated fire stopping.
