Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne
This project involved the design and construction of two new stands to the South and West of this prestigious North East Premier League Rugby Union Football ground which holds 10,200 spectators.
The cantilevered stands cater for corporate use including executive boxes and restaurant facilities to the second floor and restaurant facilities to the first floor with the ground floor concourse areas being predominantly refreshment facilities and fast food concessions.
There are six bars, four fast-food kiosks and five kitchens within the South and West stands catering for 5000 spectators.
Traditionally built with brick and blockwork, pre-cast concrete units supported on structural steelwork were used for the seating areas, pre-fabricated off-site and craned into position.
