Whitehill & Bordon Leisure Centre is a new East Hampshire District Council facility, in partnership with the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company.
The regeneration seeks to add value through strategic long-term investment, focusing on building communities and community infrastructure.
The site extends to an area of approximately 54 hectares and is currently a decommissioned MOD site.
The new sports centre will have an internal GIFA- 2,442m². The proposed design will incorporate passive and active reduction of the building’s carbon footprint both during construction and in operation.
The programme for this project is 83 weeks.
Building Facilities/Building Use:
• A 25m x13m 6 lane indoor pool 13m x 7m learner pool with wet-side village change in line with Sport England guidelines.
• A large fitness suite will be spacious enough to house the latest cardiovascular and resistance equipment as well as dedicated areas for stretch and free weights.
• Two generously sized Studios will make it possible for the centre to offer an extensive range of classes/activities to members and visitors with ground floor dry changing facilities providing clean, spacious areas in which participants can change.
