Collaborative CSR

As part of our CSR strategy, Metnor Construction joined a group of children from Backworth Park Primary school on their visit to Alnwick Castle yesterday, teaching them about the local history.

Organised by Northumberland Estates, our client on this project. The Children were very excited, with all the logistics thats goes with moving into a new school, it was a great day for all involved!

Northumberland Estates is a privately owned business which represents the business interests of the Duke of Northumberland and the Percy family. Barry Spall, of Northumberland Estates said, “Having developed a close working relationship with Backworth Park Primary through [the construction process of their new school], Northumberland Estates offered a visit to a group of children and staff from BPPS. During the visit, children took part in a host of educational and fun activities, including the artisans workshop, where they learnt skills from days gone by.”

The day was a great success, and was enjoyed by all involved. Thanks go to Northumberland Estates for their invitation and hospitality, we look forward to working further with both parties as we near the opening of the new primary school in September 2018.
