Lending a Hand in a Sticky Situation

17/08/2016

During the demolition phase of our Lidl Tyne Dock site, our Project Manager Philip Walker was approached by Steve Cattanach a local joiner for help with a sticky situation.

Steve started bee keeping five years ago simply because his family suffered from hay fever each summer. The consumption of local honey within a three mile radius of your home has proven to prevent these symptoms. Today Steve spends much of his free time educating local school children about bees and how they affect our environment. Steve volunteers his free time to this cause and does not receive any payment for his service. The collected scrap wood from our site has contributed to the creation of more hives and observational tanks.
