Operations Director Appointed

An impressive year as both sales and profit increases for Metnor Construction leads to the appointment of Operations Director Jim Baldwin. 

Managing Director, Chris Cant, has recognised the 13 years of hard work that Jim has demonstrated, working his way from Contracts Manager, Operations Manager to his newly appointed role as Operations Director.

Jim has a proven track record in the industry and knows exactly what the Metnor Construction USP’s are, including, but not limited to high quality and safe delivery of schemes that strive to complete on time and under budget.  The construction arm of the Metnor Group was established in 2002 and employs just over 40 members of staff from its headquarters in Killingworth, Newcastle.  Projects stretch across the country, ranging from the high end £22M shell and core works, to host a state of the art, £60M data centre in London’s Canary Wharf, a £6M care home in Edinburgh and ongoing student accommodation in Newcastle.

The company has had a very successful year posting profit for 2015 of £1.8M against a turnover of £34M. 2016 forecasts a record breaking turnover of £63M, with a strong order book expected for 2017. This appointment is sure to strengthen the company’s Board as Metnor Construction goes from strength to strength.
